Visiting the calanques from your rental in Marseille and Cassis

The Calanques National Park is one of the great draws of a stay in Marseille and Cassis. For your guests, a few pointers make all the difference, especially on the access rules in peak season. Here is what to add to your welcome book.

The calanques on the Marseille side

  • Sormiou and Morgiou: the most accessible, with cabanons, coves and seaside restaurants.
  • Sugiton: reached from the Luminy campus, with regulated summer access to protect the site.
  • Callelongue: a starting point for trails towards the wildest calanques.

The calanques on the Cassis side

  • Port-Miou, Port-Pin and En-Vau: the most emblematic, on foot from Cassis or by boat from the port.
  • The Route des Cretes and Cap Canaille: spectacular views towards La Ciotat.

Regulated access in summer

In peak season and dry weather, some massifs and trails are subject to rules, and at times to booking, for conservation and fire-risk reasons. Telling your guests in advance avoids disappointment. A well-placed rental, in Marseille or Cassis, puts these sites within easy reach.

An asset for your rental

Offering a home near the calanques is a real selling point, as long as you highlight it in the listing and the welcome. See our concierge Cassis and our guest welcome.
